This is an older property, but they have made some great changes. Gone are the metal keys that opened the rusty locks( from the ocean air) , new cards that work great. New paint, and bed linens are a nice addition. The ladies at the front desk are always nice, smiling and helpful,if you need some restaurant suggestions. Of course, it is right on the beach and that is the best part!

Stayed here this past weekend for a wedding. Upon check-in our room was ready before check-in time. The woman at the front desk was pleasant and friendly. Our room had a balcony with ocean views. Room was decent. Bathroom was small but had a double sink vanity outside of bathroom. Included was continental breakfast.

Check in time is 3. We arrived about 2. We were told the room was not ready but they showed us to a changing room and said go enjoy the beach and we will call when the room is ready. In a half hour they called and said the room was ready. The room was very comfortable for an older hotel that I am sure is heavily used. We had an ocean front room on an upper floor. Breathtaking views. Outside balcony was nice. Bath had a tub with shower and a separate large shower as well. Double sink too.Breakfast was waffles, cereal, Danish and fruit. Good coffee Free from 7 to 11 a.m. Vending machines were reasonable. What I really liked about this place was they did not try to nickel and dime you. Everyone that worked there was pleasant and helpful. We put the do not disturb sign on our door and they left us a bag of towels and other items. Hotel is a 1/4 mile from the main drag with the shops and restaurants and at the north end of the mile long board walk. Ocean at the front, nice park with playground to the rear. Free off street parking. Really enjoyed our stay here.

I cannot say enough about the service of the Henlopen Hotel for my daughter's August Rehobeth Beach Salero Venue wedding! Margo (in reservations) was amazing at keeping all of the 38 room reservations updated and accurate with all of my many requests and changes! Laura and other Reception Desk personnel handed out over 40 personalized/individualized gift bags to our guests as they checked in. ALL of our wedding guests commented throughout the weekend how quick the Henlopen staff was to react with care and smiles to all of their questions and needs. Steve, the manager, was wonderful at overseeing all of it! The daily breakfast room was perfect! Parking was free and covered. They even have a shower and changing room available if you want to use the beach after you check out. If you want a "Staples-Easy" wedding weekend, Salero and Henlopen Hotel is your place!

I booked this hotel not knowing what to expect. We were so pleased when we saw how perfectly located it was to the beach and boardwalk! The staff was wonderful and so accommodating. They even upgraded our room to a suite, which made our stay even more pleasant. Everything from the room to the nice breakfast, amazing service and great location made this a stress free stay. We would definitely stay here again.

We have been staying at the Henlopen Hotel ever since we got married there in 2008. We always receive excellent service, especially from Laura at the front desk. Whether it's a long weekend with the kids or a quick getaway without, this is our "go to" hotel!! It is always clean and a great, quiet location at the north end of the boardwalk! The Henlopen Hotel is our Happy Place!!

Stayed at Henlopen over Labor Day weekend with four friends. This was our second year to stay here. We checked in Friday Sept 2 and the young man at the front desk went out of his way to make sure our room was ready and we could check in. This was about 8:00AM but he made sure the room was ready and we could check in!! Hotel staff very accommodating and our stay was awesome. Weather wasn't the best but we made the most of it. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We recently visited The Henlopen for a mini-vacation. The customer service is outstanding! From the polite and accommodating person who took our reservation over the phone, to the front desk staff who greeted us warmly and accommodated us during check-out, my family and I felt very welcome. We loved the close proximity to the beach and the view from our balcony was wonderful. Thanks, Henlopen Hotel!

Thank you for the wonderful stay. It fulfilled a long desire to stay right on the ocean at Rehobeth's premier hotel. Your staff graciously met and exceeded 6 special requests. The ocean breezes made air conditioning unnecessary so I loved listening to the waves on the beach all night. The room itself was great accommodation for all the visiting relatives. Thanks for a perfect vacation.

My visit here was due to unfortunate circumstances. I was able to check in late with no issues. Rooms were simple, views were spectacular & right on the beach. The front desk associate was the BEST! She was so sweet & very helpful plus she gave me a great recommendation for lunch. She deserves a raise! I will return to enjoy this hotel again.

I love staying at the Henlopen! I stay multiple times every year, and Laura (desk) is wonderful to speak with. Within walking distance to the beach, shoppes, eateries, and entertainment. I love that they have showers for after the beach! Book your room early is its summer! This is a must stay!

All in all the Henlopen is our first choice for an economical stay in Rehoboth. A great staff is always helpful. This is an older property but well kept. Can't beat the location on the boardwalk and like the hotel quiet hours policy.

If you're looking for great service and a customer friendly experience while staying in a beautiful, comfortable, clean room right on the beach, this is the place to stay.
