  • 50% of the stay will be charged upon booking, remainder will be charged 14 days before the arrival date.

CAN I RENT BEACH CHAIRS AND UMBRELLAS?

Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent directly in front of the hotel. This service is offered at a nominal fee through a City of Rehoboth Beach concessionaire.

Can we bring pets?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed except for certified service animals. Service animals must always stay with owner while on the property.

Does the hotel provide beach tags?

No beach tags are required, as Rehoboth Beach is a free public beach.

Is smoking allowed?

The Henlopen Hotel is a smoke-free hotel. We do not allow smoking in any area of the hotel.

Is there breakfast?

No, the hotel does not offer breakfast. We do have a premium coffee machine in the lobby that serves coffee, tea, cappuccino, latte or hot chocolate 24-hours a day. Water, Fruits, Candy and Snacks are offered free of charge throughout the day. Ice and vending machines are located throughout the hotel for your convenience. Our front desk staff will be glad to offer dining suggestions for the area.

What if I arrive early?

We cannot guarantee that your room will be ready before 4PM (EST); however, if you do arrive early, we offer free parking in our garage for one vehicle (when available) and complimentary use of our newly renovated changing rooms, showers so you can enjoy the beach. We can give you a call to let you know your room is ready.

What is the No Show Policy?

No Shows are charged 100% of the entire stay.

What is the Reservation Modification Policy?

Reservations cannot be modified less than 7 days before 4PM (EST) of the arrival date.

When can I check into my room and what time is check out?

Check-in begins at 4PM and check-out is 11AM (EST).

Do you have wheel chair accessible rooms?

We do not have handicap accessible rooms.

Does the Henlopen Hotel have a restaurant?

No, the Henlopen Hotel does not have a restaurant. We do have a premium coffee machine in the lobby, and our front desk staff will be glad to offer suggestions on dining options in the area. We do have an event space for groups, weddings, etc. and an on-site caterer for special events. For information on group event bookings, please call the hotel manager on 302-227-2551.

Is the Henlopen Hotel an Oceanfront Hotel?

Yes, the hotel is located directly on the ocean at the quiet north end of Rehoboth’s Boardwalk.

Is there WIFI?

Yes, we offer complimentary Wi-Fi for all our guests.

What if I need extra bedding?

Pack and Play are available and incur a $15 per night fee. Cots are not available.

Bath towels are available 24-hours a day from the front desk upon request.

What If I Want to Check Out earlier or later?

Check out time is 11AM (EST). Late check-outs are offered for $50 for 2 hours, depending on availability. No refunds are given for an early check-out. Early Check outs are charged 100% of the entire stay.

What is the cancellation policy?

If the reservation is canceled 7 or more days before 4PM (EST) on the arrival date, the deposit is fully refunded. If the reservation is cancelled less than 7 days but more than 72 hours before 4PM (EST) on the arrival date, the entire deposit of one night plus tax is forfeited. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before 4PM(EST) on the arrival date are charged the full cost of the stay plus tax. There is a $25.00 processing fee for all cancelled reservations.

Where is parking located and how many parking spots do I receive?

Parking is available in our connected hotel parking garage. Each room reservation includes one complimentary parking pass to park in the garage. Due to limited availability, we cannot offer additional parking passes. However, there is street parking available for a fee through the City of Rehoboth. While parking is free most of the year, Parking meters and permits are in effect from May 15-September 15. The Henlopen Hotel garage has a 7-foot ceiling, so we cannot accommodate taller vehicles over 7 feet tall or oversized vehicles or trucks.
